Kelly is a Macquarie University graduate holding a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Laws. She discovered her passion for mediation while working for the Aboriginal Legal Service, where she saw firsthand the value of clear communication and compassionate conflict resolution.
Kelly went on to complete her AMDRAS accreditation and her Family Dispute Resolution accreditation, combining her legal and psychological skills to support families in reaching practical, respectful outcomes. She guides clients through the mediation process with empathy, understanding, and professionalism, helping them navigate challenging situations with confidence and care.


Suzanne Smith

Suzanne holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology Sydney. She has extensive legal experience in Australia and internationally, including working with Baker McKenzie and living and working in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Myanmar. Suzanne was also the co-founder with her husband and partner of the largest foreign law firm in Yangon, Myanmar.
Throughout her legal career, Suzanne worked principally in litigation, company and commercial law, and workers’ compensation. It was through her litigation practice that she came to appreciate the value of mediation, having witnessed the significant emotional and financial toll that prolonged legal disputes can take on individuals and businesses.
Suzanne brings considerable professional and life experience to her role as an AMDRAS-accredited mediator. Calm and composed in difficult situations, she approaches each mediation with empathy, understanding and professionalism, helping participants feel heard and supporting them to work towards practical, constructive and mutually agreed outcomes.
Kim Rusalen

Kim holds a Diploma of Business and Small Business Management and brings over 30 years of experience supporting people across government and community sectors. She brings compassion, professionalism, and calm to her role as Practice Manager.
With extensive training and experience in vicarious trauma, suicide prevention, responding to abuse and trauma, dementia awareness and Aboriginal cultural awareness, Kim understands how important empathy and clear communication are when families are navigating difficult times.
Drawing on her experience collaborating with respected organisations including the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, SA Health, and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Kim brings a wealth of knowledge and practical skills to her work. She is dedicated to ensuring each client feels heard, supported, and cared for from their very first contact, helping to make the mediation process as smooth and reassuring as possible.
